Follow Church Bank down across the river Ure and back up the other side (passing Aysgarth Falls at the bridge at the bottom). You will pass the entrance to the Aysgarth Falls Visitor Centre on your left as you ascend the hill continue up past this and follow the lane along until you reach a T-junction. Turn right to head into Carperby passing the memorial cross and small village green on your left as you go. The Wheatsheaf is situated roughly in the centre of Carperby on the main street to your left as you enter the village from the west.
