  1. Needs work and staff need a raise.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights recently. The staff are all excellent and couldn’t be more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they all went out of their way to help us .
The hotel itself however needs some updating, particularly the carpeting. In the main reception area, which is a trip hazard to say the least.
The rooms need some form of sound proofing as we were on the ground floor in room 5 and did not have one night which wasn’t disturbed by noise. A good deep clean would also help the dated fittings.
