Home cooked food will be available in the dining room and there is a small bar to socialise in as well as the snug room to enjoy by the cosy fireside. The name Kingsbarns was derived from the Kings of Scotland storing the grain from the very productive local ambient climate before being transported to Dunfermline and Falkland Palaces from the 11th to the 16th Century whereafter the Monarchy moved to glorious Edinburgh Scotland s Capital City. Situated in the heart of golf country this area called the East Neuk of Fife has reputedly the most sunshine hours than any other part of Scotland. The Inn is located in the Conservation Village of Kingsbarns close to the bus stop and 10 mins walk to the world renowned Kingsbarns Golf Club and the Fife Coastal Path. We are to be found on the Main route A917 from St. Andrews to the fishing Villages of Crail Anstruther Pittenweem St. Monans and Elie where you can still watch the fish being landed on a daily basis. Two of Scotland s greatest icons whisky and golf were the inspiration behind the Kingsbarns Distillery which opened its doors in 2014. St Andrews is a vibrant University town which has the 3rd oldest University in the English speaking world founded in 1413
